Slim Line Aluminium Windows




Extruded aluminium is Aluminium Alloy 6063.T6 to BS EN 755 part9: 2001. It is constructed using mitred and mechanically crimped corners, with support chevrons and cleats to provide for accurate alignment. Integral transoms and mullions are installed by scribing the ends and then either screw fixing or bracket fixing into the outer frames. A proprietary sealant to protect against water entry is used on all metal-to-metal joints at assembly




Aluminium profiles are normally supplied coated using the powder coat method, in a wide range of colours and surface finishes, to BS EN 12206: 2004 Part 1.


Aluminium can also be clear anodised in either satin or polished finish and a limited range of colours, which includes bronze and black, is also available. Anodising: i) Natural (Silver) anodised to BS3897, 1991. and ii) Anolok Bronze Colour 547 anodised to BS3897, 1991. Anodising is to a minimum of 25 microns (AA25).

STW200 is ideally suited to the residential market, as a thermally efficient replacement of, and at a fraction of the cost of, replacement steel or crittal type windows, where a very slim sight line is required. Tested to BS6375 and BS7950, it is a thermally broken system. The standard window profile measures a very slim 44mm with the option of either an odd-leg outer frame for fixing into a timber surround, or equal leg for direct fix with the further added options of 75mm and 100mm outer frames available. Full range of glazing options can be used from 4mm single glazing to 28mm double glazed, with each pane of glass individually inserted into a fully rebated and prepared opening. Glazing beads with an internal option is possible. Gasket seals to the inside create a bond between the glass and the main framing members



Thermal Performance

Thermal performance of our systems depend on too many variables to determine a simple statement. Varying standards of insulated glazing units, profile selection, product size and mullion spacing combine to provide a unique 'U' value per window. The most up to date designs and materials are used in order to offer the highest performance systems and products on offer in the UK.


By varying glazing specifications and system/profile selection, high insulation, specific overall 'U' values required can be achieved. It has been independently tested to BS6375, and achieved the following results:-


Air Permeability - 600Pa

Water Tightness - 600Pa

Wind Resistance - 2000Pa
